Contemporary Home in Key Biscayne, Florida

This project involved the design of a contemporary home in Key Biscayne, Florida, developed around the area’s warm climate, coastal character and opportunities for indoor-outdoor living.

The architectural approach combines clean modern forms, carefully balanced proportions and generous areas of glazing to create a refined and light-filled family home. The layout was designed to establish a strong connection between the principal internal spaces, landscaped gardens and external entertaining areas.

Large openings allow natural light to reach deep into the plan while framing views across the site. Covered terraces and shaded external spaces help extend the living accommodation beyond the building envelope and provide comfortable areas for year-round use.

The material palette and architectural detailing were kept simple and consistent, reinforcing the clarity of the overall design while responding to the climate and coastal setting. Internal spaces were arranged to feel open and connected, with more private accommodation positioned to provide separation and comfort.

The resulting design combines contemporary residential architecture with practical family living, creating a home that feels closely connected to its landscape and suited to the Key Biscayne lifestyle.
